ACT was founded in 1995 by Monique-Paule Tubb
with the double goal of serving clients well and establishing
productive long-term relationships with translators and interpreters.
Monique-Paule Tubb, the owner of ACT, has worked in all aspects of the
language profession. She started her career as a staff translator,
working in various companies before becoming a freelance medical
French, English and German translator. She served as a consultant for
the organization of complex foreign language projects, and eventually
became the director of translation services for a prominent Inc. 500
company. She decided to head her own language company because she saw
that there was a need to serve her clients in all languages, not just
in those she knew herself. In this new setting, she has the freedom to
use her inside understanding of the trade to achieve quality and
efficiency in a cost effective manner, all the while promoting mutual
respect between herself and her consultants. Her commitment to
international communication and stringent professional high standards
has been the driving force behind this venture.
In the first few years of ACT's existence, Ms. Tubb was able to set up
committed teams of professional translators and interpreters in many
languages. Thanks to this extensive network of highly qualified
professionals, ACT has the ability to fulfill requests at a moment's
notice. Her years of experience helped her understand what it takes to
manage multi-lingual projects successfully, both in the United States
and in Europe, and her freelance and corporate professional experience
give her a unique understanding of the many steps necessary to achieve
quality.
